We are an association of academics and artists affiliated with Belgian institutions committed to justice, equality, and the respect for international law to support the rights of Palestinian people and its right to self-determination. As academics and artists, we have a broad mission to contribute to the change in policy and public opinion and we are committed to fighting against the occupation and colonization of Palestine and against apartheid through BDS, advocacy and political campaigns as a part of the global solidarity movement.
When it was set up in 2015, some 800 academics and artists linked to Belgian institutions co-signed a declaration in support of the 2005 Palestinian appeal for Boycott, Divestment, and Sanctions (BDS) as a nonviolent means to address and oppose systemic injustices and human rights violations.
